Khan, known for her dual passion for cycling and mountaineering, is the latest Pakistani to conquer this peak.
Pakistan’s Samar Khan scales South America’s highest peak. Pakistani mountaineer Samar Khan successfully scaled Argentina’s Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, having an elevation of 6,961 meters.
Taking to Instagram, Khan said, “She started her climb with an amazing team of nine strong women at 4:15 am and reached the summit of the highest peak in South America at 2 pm.”
“The climb was full of challenges, with one of the biggest being the extreme cold and harsh winds of the Andes,” the adventurer said.
“However, with Allah’s grace and your prayers, I successfully completed the climb.”
She also expressed gratitude to the Summit Scholarship Foundation for “providing her with this fully climbing opportunity” and to Suzanne Stroeer, also a mountaineer.
Mount Aconcagua, located in Argentina’s Andes mountain range, is the tallest mountain outside Asia and one of the Seven Summits.
According to experts, Aconcagua is one of the most accessible of the Seven Summits and serves as both a challenging experience for mountaineers and a stepping stone to higher peaks.
Khan, known for her dual passion for cycling and mountaineering, is the latest Pakistani to conquer this peak. Other notable climbers from Pakistan include Abdul Joshi, Saad Munawar, Asad Ali Memon, Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, Samina Baig, and Mirza Ali Baig.
