Saim Ayub to undergo medical treatment in London for injury. In a recent development, Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has taken the initiative to send cricketer Saim Ayub to London for treatment of his broken ankle after consulting doctors.
This decision was taken after Saim was hurt on the first day of the second test match against South Africa in Cape Town. The Chairman of the PCB confirmed Saim Ayub will see qualified sports orthopedic specialists in London for proper treatment.
As per Naqvi, Saim Ayub will travel to London from Cape Town on the first available flight, accompanied by Azhar Mahmood, team’s strength and conditioning coach.
At present, control of the batter’s treatment is the domain of Dr. Mamrez in Pakistan, who has provided all relevant medical details to the London specialists for further analysis.
The chairman expressed concern about Saim Ayub’s injury, describing him as a fresh and robust batsman who will contribute considerably toward Pakistan’s future tournaments.
Naqvi also stated that Saim Ayub would be airlifted to London from Cape Town as soon as possible, accompanied by Azhar Mahmood, the team’s strength and conditioning coach. The PCB chairman guaranteed the left-handed batter premium-level care in one of London’s best hospitals and sufficient resources for his rehabilitation.
