DPM Ishaq Dar, Gen Asim Munir Hold Key Talks with Turkish President Erdogan on Iran-Israel Conflict. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, where they discussed the escalating Iran-Israel conflict and regional security issues.
According to the Turkish Presidential Office, the high-level meeting took place on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ Conference currently being held in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the leaders exchanged detailed views on the latest regional developments, with a particular focus on the ongoing hostilities between Iran and Israel. Both sides strongly condemned Israel’s aggression against Iran and agreed on the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Türkiye following his official visit to the United States and joined Deputy Prime Minister Dar for the crucial talks.
The two countries also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. Ishaq Dar conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s warm regards and well wishes to President Erdogan, emphasizing Pakistan’s deep appreciation for its strategic partnership with Türkiye.
The meeting was also attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Ibrahim Kalin and the President’s top advisor on foreign affairs and national security.
