CM Maryam Nawaz Launches Dhee Rani Wedding Support Program. The provincial government of Punjab has launched a new welfare initiative called the Maryam Nawaz Dhee Rani Program, aimed at supporting underprivileged families who struggle with the financial burden of their daughters’ weddings.

The program, introduced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is designed to help parents celebrate their daughters’ marriage with dignity and joy without worrying about the heavy costs that often come with such occasions.

Under this scheme, the government will take care of major wedding expenses so that parents can enjoy the ceremony stress-free. The program not only provides financial help but also ensures that families feel supported during one of the most important events in their lives.

The eligibility criteria are simple. Unmarried women aged between 18 and 40 who are residents of Punjab can apply. Priority will be given to orphans, women with disabilities, and those from financially struggling families. The application process is easy, families can apply online through the official website, visit their local Social Welfare Office, or call the helpline number 1312 for guidance.

Once approved, each selected family will receive a dowry package worth Rs. 206,000, including essential household items. Additionally, a cash gift of Rs. 100,000 will be deposited directly into the bride’s bank account through an ATM card provided by the Bank of Punjab. The government will also cover the wedding ceremony expenses.

This program reflects a compassionate vision by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to empower low-income families and help them marry off their daughters with respect and happiness. By easing financial worries, the Dhee Rani Program is not just helping families but also setting an example of how government initiatives can bring hope and relief to people in need.
