Bagga gains popularity for his striking resemblance to Trump
Pakistan’s Trump lookalike takes the internet by storm. A 53-year-old man named Saleem Bagga, a food vendor of Pakistani has become a international sensation for having stunning resemblance to US President-elect Donald Trump.
He sells traditional kheer, a milky rice pudding, and customers flock not just for the sweet dish but also for his uncanny resemblance and entertaining mannerisms.
He boasts a special blond quiff, the result of albinism, while pushing his colorful wooden cart through the busy streets of Sahiwal singing Punjabi songs while serving his customers.
This charms his stall even further, as local gentry, Mohammed Yaseen included, tease him: “we feel as if Trump has come here selling kheer.”
Bagga has attracted the attention of many people because of his resemblance to Trump, and customers would often gather around him for selfies, bragging to their friends that they have met “Trump.”
Imran Ashraf, a resident, praised Bagga’s kheer, saying, “This is really delicious…we talk to him and take selfies with him. We tell our friends that we took these pictures with Trump.” Bagga has remained humble through all the glitz and glamour of being mistaken for the US President-elect, even inviting President Trump to visit Pakistan and partake of his kheer:
“Donald Trump sahib, you have won the election, now visit here and eat my kheer. You will really enjoy it.” With the speed of social media, Bagga’s fame has taken flight, and netizens have become enamored of him as much for his striking resemblance to Trump as for his endearing interactions with customers.
