The development comes as Canada decided to expel six Indian diplomats due to their alleged involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh activist.
RAW official charged in US for foiled Sikh leader murder plot. The US has officially charged an official of the Indian spy agency, RAW, in case related to foiled assassination plot targeting Sikh leder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in New York City last year.
The indictment against the Indian spy identified as Vikahs Yadav was made public on October 17, the Washington Post. It would serve a dent to the US-India relations as Washington has held the key ally responsible for the suspected violence act.
Earlier this week, a committee from the Indian government, which is investigating the RAW official’s role in the foiled murder plot, held a meeting with the US officials. The meeting was later described as productive by the US officials.
Yadav has been charged with “murder-for-hire and money laundering” linked with the scheme to “kill the Sikh separatist leader, a US citizen of Indian origin who lives in New York, the department said in a statement,” according to international media.

Although the Modi government continues to conspire to assassinate them through their proxies in the US and Canada, they remain undeterred and will continue to hold the referendum for Khalistan, he said.
