Pakistan, Canada Discuss Expanded Economic & Investment Cooperation. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has received Canadian High Commissioner Tarik Ali Khan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
As per the details, Senator Dar praised the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Canada ties and momentum created by ongoing high-level engagements. He underscored the need to further enhance collaboration in trade, investment, agriculture and people to people exchange. The DPM and FM also highlighted the valuable role of the Pakistani diaspora in strengthening relationship between the two nations.
Canadian High Commissioner Tarik Ali Khan has expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s support in facilitating the import of Canadian canola. He also noted the steady progress of Barrick Gold’s work on the Reko Diq and conveyed the interest of other Canadian companies in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan
Both sides reiterated their readiness to continue working together to expand economic partnership and boost bilateral engagement.
