Cabinet Approves ‘Zero Time to Start Policy’ for Industrial Growth
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz to Introduce Special Student Travel Card. In a groundbreaking the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is all set to launch a ‘Special Student Travel Card’ to facilitate the daily transportation system of students.
This development came during a provincial cabinet meeting presided over by Maryam Nawaz. The special student travel card aims to ease the commute of students.
This is in addition to the free travel facility that has been approved for differently abled individuals and senior citizens within the mass transit system, according to a press release.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also directed the concerned authorities to draft a plan for the launching of a tram service, which would further add to the transport facilities in the province.
The cabinet approved proposed several policy interventions, including a ‘Zero Time to Start Policy’ for Special Economic Zones, Industrial Estates, and Small Industrial Estates, to promote industrialization in the province.
The cabinet encouraged investors to come forth, assuring them that the NOCs would be issued forthwith. Further funds were approved for “Cryoablation,” an advanced cancer treatment for patients, and also the launching of modern options for patients in Punjab.
In terms of recruitments, the cabinet gave a green signal to the employment of 5,960 constables, relaxed restrictions for 127 recruitments in the Mass Transit Authority, and approved 87 posts meant for recruitment within the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
They have allowed an extension of limits for filling vacant doctor posts in Basic and Clinical Sciences to a limit of 65 years. Approval was granted to recruit 25 staff members under the ICT of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education.
Finance was approved for recruiting staff for vacant posts in the Forest Department while the government laid the groundwork for recruiting 500 individuals in the Traffic Management Plan in Murree.
