Strong defense systems could prevent massacres in Kashmir & Palestine, she said.
Mushaal honors Pakistan Army’s heroic sacrifices on Defense Day. On Pakistan‘s Defense Day, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization and wife of imprisoned Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, delivered a powerful tribute to the Pakistan Army, recognizing their unparalleled sacrifices in safeguarding the nation.
In her address, Mushaal praised the bravery and dedication of both the martyrs and surviving soldiers of the Pakistan Army, highlighting their crucial role in defending the country’s sovereignty. She underscored the importance of a robust defense system for national independence, citing the ongoing struggles of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as stark reminders of the consequences of a weak defense.
Mushaal condemned the atrocities committed by the Indian military in occupied Kashmir, describing the situation as a form of genocide and ethnic cleansing. She contrasted this with the protective role played by the Pakistani Army, which, she said, shields the residents of Azad Kashmir from Indian aggression.
Reflecting on the challenges faced by the Pakistani military, she expressed admiration for the sacrifices made by soldiers on the frontlines, who have fought valiantly against terrorism and defended the nation’s borders. She also lamented the plight of senior Kashmiri leaders, including her husband, who have been detained and oppressed for advocating the right to self-determination for Kashmiris.
Mushaal sharply criticized the United Nations and other global powers for their indifference to the ongoing suffering in Kashmir. Despite this, she voiced a resolute belief in the ability of the Pakistan Army to eventually achieve the liberation of Kashmir from what she termed as illegal occupation.
Her message was a call to honor the sacrifices made by the armed forces while underscoring the urgent need for international attention and action on the Kashmir issue.
