Pakistan Name Squad for Sri Lanka T20 Series

Pakistan Announce T20 Squad for Sri Lanka Series. The 15-member squad of the national cricket team for the T20 series with Sri Lanka has been announced.

Salman Ali Agha will lead the Pakistani team, wicketkeeper-batsman Khawaja Nafi has been included in the T20 squad for the first time, while Shadab Khan has returned to the T20 squad after shoulder surgery.

Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi are not part of the T20 squad, Haris Rauf has once again not been considered.

The T20 squad includes captain Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafi and Muhammad Nawaz.

Muhammad Salman Mirza, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Usman Tariq are also part of the squad.

It should be noted that the Pakistan cricket team will leave for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play 3 T20 Internationals in Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11. This series will be helpful in selecting the World Cup squad.

On the other hand, the PCB has also announced the team management, Naveed Akram Cheema will be the team manager for the series against Sri Lanka.

Mike Hesson will be the head white-ball coach, Ashley Noffke the bowling coach, Muhammad Hanif Malik the batting coach, while Shane McDermott will be the fielding coach.

Cliff Deacon will be the physiotherapist, Grant Lowden the strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ijaz the team analyst and Syed Naeem Ahmed the team’s media manager.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
