Pak-Saudi Relations
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share deep-rooted, historic relations based on mutual trust, shared religious values, and long-standing strategic cooperation. The partnership spans multiple sectors, including defence, security, energy, trade, and labour, with Saudi Arabia consistently supporting Pakistan during critical economic and political moments. Millions of Pakistani expatriates living in the Kingdom play a vital role in strengthening people-to-people ties and contribute significantly to Pakistan’s economy through remittances.
In recent years, Pak–Saudi relations have further strengthened through enhanced defence collaboration, counter-terrorism cooperation, and increased Saudi investment in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors. High-level exchanges between the leadership of both countries continue to reinforce their commitment to regional peace, stability, and economic development, reflecting a relationship that remains central to Pakistan’s foreign policy and the Kingdom’s South Asian engagement.
