Italy Becomes First European Country to Allocate Job Quota for Pakistanis. Italy has allotted thousands of jobs to Pakistan for the next 3 years.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis said that they have succeeded in getting 10,500 job quotas from Italy.
The spokesperson said that Italy has allotted Pakistan a job quota for the next three years, after which Italy is the first country in Europe to allocate a job quota for Pakistan.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, 3,500 Pakistanis will go to Italy for employment every year on seasonal and non-seasonal quotas, 1,500 Pakistanis will go to Italy every year on seasonal quotas, 2,000 on non-seasonal quotas, job quotas have been allocated in shipbreaking, healthcare and agriculture sectors.
In addition, Pakistani skilled and semi-skilled workers will go to Italy for employment in these sectors. There are employment opportunities for Pakistan in welders, technicians, chefs, waiters and housekeeping, while there are also employment opportunities in the fields of nursing, medical technicians, farming and agriculture.
According to the Overseas Spokesperson, the second meeting of the Pakistan-Italy Joint Working Group will be held in Islamabad in February.
In this regard, Federal Minister for Overseas Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that Italy’s allocation of quotas in jobs for Pakistan is an important milestone. The doors of employment are going to open for the Pakistani workforce in Italy and soon the doors of more European countries will open for the Pakistani workforce.
He also said that this is an important milestone for Pakistan in finding new employment opportunities in the European labor market. The government of Pakistan is constantly striving to provide its workers with decent employment at the global level.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain further said that overseas Pakistanis are playing the role of ambassadors of Pakistan around the world and the backbone of the country’s economy.
In October 2025, Saudi Arabia offered one million jobs to Pakistani workers.
