China Announces Visa Free Entry for 74 Countries, Is Pakistan Included? China has broadened its visa-free entry policy, now allowing citizens from 74 countries to visit for up to 30 days without needing a visa. This move has already sparked a sharp increase in international arrivals, with more than 20 million travelers entering China without a visa in 2024—more than twice the number from the previous year.
The updated list includes most European nations, select countries in Latin America, parts of Asia, and Oceania. Recent additions feature countries like France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and several Middle Eastern states. On July 16, 2025, the policy will extend to 75 countries, with Azerbaijan joining the list.
However, Pakistan is not included in this visa-free arrangement. Despite strong diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations, Pakistani citizens still require a visa to enter China. Similarly, many countries in South Asia and Africa remain excluded from the visa-free list.
