Afghan Regime Now a Regional & Global Threat: DG ISPR

Afghan Regime Now a Regional & Global Threat: DG ISPR. DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that a total of 1873 terrorists were killed in the country this year, including 136 Afghans, while earlier the he claimed that political-criminal nexus aided KP Terror.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, the DG ISPR had a detailed discussion with senior journalists on national security issues.

The DG ISPR said that this year 67023 intelligence-based operations were conducted across the country, 12857 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 53309 in Balochistan province, a total of 1873 terrorists were killed this year, including 136 Afghans.

He said that since November 4, 2025, 4910 intelligence-based operations have been conducted against terrorism, 206 terrorists were killed during these operations.

Taliban fully facilitate terrorists from Afghanistan

He said that misleading propaganda is being spread regarding security agencies on border management, Pak-Afghan border consists of extremely difficult and difficult routes, Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa covers 1229 kilometers with 20 crossing points, the distance between posts on Pak-Afghan border is 20 to 25 kilometers.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the border fence cannot be effective unless it is covered by observation and fire, if a fort is built after 2 to 5 kilometers and drone surveillance is carried out, it will require a lot of resources, unlike Punjab and Sindh, there are divided villages on both sides of the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, controlling movement in such a situation is a challenge.

He said that in the world, border management is always done by both countries together. On the contrary, the Afghan Taliban completely facilitate the infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Pakistan. If we look at the areas adjacent to the Afghan border, the difficult and ineffective administrative structure is the cause of increasing governance problems. There is a very strong political terror-crime nexus in these border areas, and the facilitation is done by the Fitna-ul-Kharijites.

The DG ISPR said that if there is terrorist formation, smuggling or trade from across the border, then whose responsibility is it to stop it within the country? If millions of non-customs-paid vehicles are roaming in your province, then who has to stop them? Non-customs-paid vehicles are part of these political terror-crime nexus that are used in suicide attacks.

Afghanistan should be given all the evidence of terrorism that they cannot ignore: Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry
He said that Pakistan’s position regarding the Doha agreement with Afghanistan is very clear, Pakistan’s position is that the Afghan Taliban regime should stop facilitating terrorists.

He said that there are centers of terrorism and leadership of Al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, they also get weapons and funding from Afghanistan which are used against Pakistan, we have given all the evidence that they cannot ignore, Pakistan demands from the Afghan Taliban regime to sign an agreement under a verifiable mechanism.

He said that if the verifiable mechanism is to be kept by a third party, then Pakistan will not object to it, the intermediary countries are also fully aware of Pakistan’s position, the Taliban regime’s claim about the Fitna al-Kharij that they are Pakistanis, have migrated, are our guests, is illogical.

Afghan Taliban has not yet fulfilled its promise

Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the Taliban regime is currently nurturing non-state actors, non-state actors are a threat to various countries in the region, Pakistan’s demand is clear that the Afghan Taliban should behave like a state.

He said that in the Doha talks, the Afghan Taliban promised the international community not to use its territory for terrorism, but the Afghan Taliban has not yet fulfilled its promise not to use its territory for terrorism.

He said that the Afghan Taliban regime is not representative of Afghans because it does not represent all nationalities, the representation of 50 percent of Afghan women does not exist in this regime, we do not have a problem with Afghans, rather our problem is with the Afghan Taliban regime, the issue of the closure of trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan is related to our security and the protection of the lives and property of the people, bloodshed and trade cannot go together, for us there is no distinction between good or bad terrorists, for us a good terrorist is the one who has gone to hell, right always prevails over wrong, we are on the right and right always triumphs.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that under the process of honorable repatriation of Afghan refugees, 366704 people have been sent back in 2024, 971604 Afghan refugees were sent back in 2025, 239574 people were sent back during the current month i.e. November alone.

Repeated Indian claims aim to deflect public anger: Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif

Talking about India, he said that India has a monopoly of leadership with a self-deceptive mindset. The statement of the Indian Army Chief that we showed a trailer during Operation Sindoor is a reflection of self-deceptive thinking. In the trailer, 7 planes were shot down, 26 places were attacked, and the batteries of the S-400 were destroyed. If a film based on such a trailer is made, it will become a horror film for them.
