Indian Tejas Fighter Jet Crashes at Dubai Air Show. An Indian fighter jet, Tejas, crashed during an air show in Dubai, killing its pilot.

The Indian Air Force has confirmed that the indigenously developed fighter jet, Tejas, crashed during the Dubai Air Show.

The Dubai Air Show administration has announced that a full investigation will be conducted into the crash of the Indian plane.

It is pertinent to mention that in May 2025, the Indian Military had confirms losing fighter jets in clashes with Pakistan.

The administration has temporarily suspended further air demonstrations at the air show. The affected area is being sealed and evidence is being collected and an investigation has been launched.

It should be noted that Tejas is an indigenously developed fighter jet in India, the first test flight of the Tejas aircraft took place in 2001.

This is the second accident of the Tejas aircraft in less than two years and in March 2024, the Tejas fighter jet crashed in the city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

A social media user said it was embarrassing for the country to see Indian pilots taking selfies with the JF 17 and posing with PAF officers while the Tejas faced serious issues. The user added that when the Air Chief focuses more on Bollywood style statements than on professionalism and discipline, such outcomes are inevitable.
