President Trump praises Asim Munir As His ‘Favourite’ Field Marshal. US President Donald Trump called the signing of the Gaza Peace Agreement a “great honour” and a “historic achievement,” saying it would pave the way for lasting peace in the Middle East.

It is pertinent to mention that Israel and Hamas had agreed on the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan. 

Field Marshal Munir’s meeting with US President, Indian media was left in shock over Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir’s recognition in the United States.

Speaking at a press conference after the signing ceremony, Trump declared, “The bloodshed in Gaza has stopped because of this accord. It is a great honour for me to have this peace agreement. The time has come to rebuild Gaza — and we will do it together.”

Trump emphasized that the deal would bring long-term stability to the region. He thanked all the countries that contributed to the success of the agreement, saying, “I am grateful to all the nations that made this agreement possible. This is a historic day for the entire world.”

Trump Praises Pakistan’s Leadership

During his remarks, President Trump made a special mention of Pakistan. He referred to Army Chief General Asim Munir as his “favourite Field Marshal,” while also acknowledging Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s presence at the summit.

“My favourite Field Marshal from Pakistan is not here today, but the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, is with us. Come and share your thoughts,” Trump said, inviting the Pakistani leader to address the gathering.

This recognition underscored Pakistan’s visible role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

Qatar & Egypt Credited for Mediation

Trump also praised Qatar and Egypt for their mediation efforts. “I appreciate the leadership of the Emir of Qatar. Egypt’s role in achieving this peace has been truly commendable,” he noted.

He reaffirmed U.S. support for Gaza’s reconstruction and called for global cooperation. “The world must come together to rebuild Gaza. This agreement is something we can all be proud of,” Trump added.

Egypt Calls Agreement a “Historic Document”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi also addressed the summit, praising President Trump’s leadership in achieving the Gaza ceasefire. “The U.S. President played a crucial role in making this truce possible,” he said.

Al-Sisi also commended the efforts of Qatar and Turkiye, calling their mediation “exemplary.” He described the peace accord as a “historic document” that will restore peace and stability to the region.

“The Gaza peace agreement is a major success and a vital step toward a long-term solution,” Al-Sisi added. He reiterated that a two-state solution is the only viable path forward. “The Palestinians have the right to live in an independent state,” he affirmed.

U.S. Military Power and Global Peace

Concluding his speech, President Trump highlighted the strength of the U.S. military. “The US military remains the strongest in the world,” he said, linking American leadership with the success of the peace agreement.

He described the accord as a collective achievement by global leaders. “This is a proud day for all nations that believe in peace over conflict,” he concluded.
