US President Trump to Visit Pakistan. Well, this is a big news since the last US President who came to Pakistan was President Bush when Pakistan was a non-NATO ally of the United States. Thus, U.S. President Donald Trump is set to make a historic visit to Pakistan on September 18, 2025, officials shared on Thursday.
His aircraft will enter Pakistan through Indian airspace, signaling a notable shift in regional diplomacy. This development follows a recent high-level meeting between Trump and Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, in Washington.
Interestingly, Pakistan’s government also recommended President Trump for Nobel Peace Prize after the meeting.
Trump-Munir Meeting
In June, Field Marshal Munir met Trump at the White House for a bilateral engagement. The meeting included lunch in the Cabinet Room, followed by discussions in the Oval Office.
During the talks, both leaders focused on regional peace, counter-terrorism, and economic cooperation. Trump was accompanied by Secretary of State Senator Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Representative Steve Witkoff. Field Marshal Munir was joined by Pakistan’s National Security Advisor, strengthening the bilateral scope of the meeting.
