Gandapur also criticised JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for his recent remarks about toppling the KP government.
CM KP Gandapur Issues 90-Day Ultimatum for Imran Khan’s Release. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has issued a 90-day ultimatum for the release of jailed former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, warning that any crackdown on party workers will be met with a befitting reply.
Addressing the PTI parliamentary session on Saturday night, Gandapur declared that the party leadership would not remain silent if it continued to be targeted. “If you fire at us, be prepared to respond. If our leader is not released in 90 days, neither you nor we will remain. There is no legitimate case against him, and he is being unjustly imprisoned. He will be with us on the 90th day,” he said.
Gandapur also criticised JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for his recent remarks about toppling the KP government. He accused Fazlur of having a “fake mandate” and said he had no moral authority to talk about toppling an elected setup.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman should focus on reforming himself instead of conspiring to change the KP government. I am not afraid of your threats. We earned it from the people, and you did not give us this government, and you cannot snatch it away, he added.
Commenting on the recent suspension of PTI lawmakers in the Punjab Assembly, CM Gandapur termed the move as illegal and politically motivated. He warned of retaliatory measures, saying that if such actions continue, PTI will consider removing opposition-backed chairmen from committees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The fiery speech marks a sharp escalation in PTI’s rhetoric as the party continues to demand the release of its founding leader and push back against what it terms as politically motivated actions by rival parties and state institutions.
