Pakistan and Azerbaijan have made history by signing an agreement for Azerbaijan to invest $2 billion in Pakistan’s economic sector. This milestone deal, finalized on Friday in Khankandi, will strengthen economic and trade ties and open new growth opportunities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif witnessed the signing ceremony. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov signed the agreement. Both countries aim to boost economic cooperation and deepen their partnership.
The agreement came after a warm meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Officials said they will sign the final version when President Aliyev visits Pakistan soon.
