PMDC Announces MDCAT 2025 Date. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday announced the date of the Medical and Dental Colleges Entrance Test (MDCAT) 2025.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani.
Briefing the committee about the upcoming test, PMDC officials said that MDCAT 2025 will be held simultaneously across the country on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Earlier, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday released the new syllabus for the Medical and Dental Colleges Entrance Test (MDCAT) 2025.
According to PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj, the revised test will include five subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning.
The exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be of three hours duration. The question paper will be entirely MCQ-based and there will be no negative marking. The questions will be graded as 15% easy, 70% moderate and 15% difficult.
Dr. Rizwan Taj said that a minimum of 55% marks will be required for admission to medical colleges and 50% marks for admission to dental colleges.
PMDC has also started the process of preparing a question bank for the exam. He added that the new syllabus has been prepared in consultation with education experts, education boards and universities.
