DG ISPR Slams Indian State Terrorism; Says Pakistan’s Nuclear Assets Fully Secure

DG ISPR Confirms 26 Casualties, Massive Destruction from Indian Attacks

“India will be held accountable for every innocent life lost,” the DG ISPR declared.

ISLAMABAD: Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, strongly condemned India’s recent missile and air strikes, calling them cowardly attacks that resulted in the martyrdom of 26 innocent civilians and injuries to 46 others.

Speaking at a press briefing, DG ISPR revealed that India launched unprovoked and coordinated strikes on six locations across Pakistan during the night of May 6 and 7, targeting civilian areas under the cover of darkness.

“India’s actions reflect a narrow-minded and aggressive mindset,” General Sharif stated. “Among the sites attacked was a mosque near Muzaffarabad, and in Ahmedpur Sharqia, the Subhan Allah Mosque was struck, leading to the martyrdom of 13 worshippers, including seven women and two three-year-old girls.”

He further said that indiscriminate shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) claimed the lives of five more civilians. In Muridke, three civilians were killed and one injured.

In a powerful and immediate response, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Army shot down five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale and two MiG fighter jets. All PAF aircraft and assets remain fully secure, according to the military spokesperson.

General Sharif added that Pakistan also targeted and destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters in retaliation for LoC violations. Additionally, India attempted to strike the strategic Neelum-Jhelum Project by targeting the Noseri Dam, an act termed “dangerous and unacceptable.” He warned that such water aggression would have serious consequences.

“India will be held accountable for every innocent life lost,” the DG ISPR declared. “Pakistan will respond forcefully to any aggression, solely in the defense of its sovereignty and its people.”
