President urges to support weaker segments on Eid ul Fitr
Eid ul Fitr 2025: President & PM Extend Heartfelt Greetings to Nation. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended their heartfelt greetings to the entire Pakistani nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday night. In their separate messages, they emphasized that the day teaches lessons of happiness, gratitude, brotherhood and compassion.
President Zardari said that on the occasion of Eid, they must remember those facing economic difficulties because real happiness is related to sharing happiness with others. The President said that we should fulfill the obligations of Zakat, Sadaqah and Fitrana with full enthusiasm so that no needy person is deprived of the joys of Eid.
The President extended his heartfelt greetings to the entire nation and the Muslim world on the occasion of Eid. “This day of joy comes to us after the journey of blessings, worship and piety in the holy month of Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr is a gift from Allah Almighty, which has been given to us as a reward for fasting.” During Ramadan, the President said that he tried to get closer to Allah Almighty, improve his characters and excel in good deeds.
He added that “this holy month teaches us patience, tolerance, worship and compassion for the poor, now it is our responsibility to adopt the lessons learned in Ramadan in our daily lives and maintain the qualities of sincerity, honesty and love in our practical lives”.
The President observed that the day also taught him a lesson of unity and solidarity in his ranks and stressed that they should strengthen these ties, support each other and play their role in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He added that we should promote brotherhood among ourselves so that our country emerges as a strong and prosperous nation. On this occasion, the President also prayed for the people of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to get an opportunity to celebrate Eid with freedom and peace.
The President prayed to Allah Almighty to accept their fasts and prayers and guide Pakistan on the path of peace and prosperity. In his separate message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is currently facing threats from internal and external enemies. He stressed the need to avoid all forms of extremism, hatred and sectarianism. He called for unity and vigilance to prevent any conspiracy from succeeding to ensure the integrity and stability of the country.
The Prime Minister said that the government is making every effort to restore the economy, maintain peace and order and ensure social stability. He appreciated the sacrifices of the armed forces in the war against terrorism and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the martyrs. He also prayed for the martyrs of the Jafar Express train incident.
Prime Minister Shehbaz urged the people to remember the oppressed brothers and sisters of Palestine and illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of India who are engaged in the struggle for freedom. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for them and urged the international community to act swiftly to stop human rights violations and provide justice to these innocent Muslims.
