PM Shehbaz Announces 1,000 Agricultural Scholarships. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced plans to send 1,000 agricultural graduates to China for training. He made the remarks at the Aeroponics Complex for Potato Seed Production.
PM Shehbaz mentioned how agriculture is a vital part of Pakistan’s economy, and that the new project seeks to help the graduates gain the modern-day skills and knowledge needed to rebuild agriculture and push for reforms.
The program will send agricultural graduates to China, where they will receive specialized training regarding advanced farming techniques, modern agricultural practices, and innovative technologies in place today.
The objective is to improve productivity, address many challenges, and promote sustainable agricultural growth in Pakistan’s farming industry.
PM Shehbaz expressed appreciation to South Korea for supporting the Aeroponics Complex, the new facility and understanding how to work together to address the needs of agriculture, which underscored the importance of working together between the two nations.
In related news, in Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced an “Agriculture Tubewell Solarization” project. The project aims to promote the use of sustainable energy in agriculture by providing subsidies for solar installations.
The Punjab government will subsidize the installation of 10-kilowatt, 15-kilowatt, and 20-kilowatt tubes. During the first phase, solar energy will be installed on 8,000 tubewells by a balloting process.
