“If God has permitted something, it is permitted. Just because I am not doing it, it does not change anything,” he said.
Danish Taimoor Apologizes for Comments on Multiple Marriages. Pakistani actor and host Danish Taimoor has publicly apologized after facing backlash for comments he made about multiple marriages during a live Ramadan broadcast.
Taking to his Instagram, Taimoor shared a video apologizing, saying that his choice of words was probably poor.
“I know you guys are a little angry with me, whatever happened that day, some people think I disrespected my wife, but that was not the case and that was never my intention,” he said.
Taimoor also said that in his 18-year career, he has mostly avoided controversies. “However, if my words have hurt anyone, I deeply apologize.”
“I often use the word ‘falhal’ because I believe that we will not live forever, and I focus on the present. I realize that I should not have used that word at the time – it was a slip of the tongue,” he explained.
The Hara Dil actor said, “Trust me, I don’t want to bother you, my aim is to entertain you, I have dedicated my life to entertain you.”
“I want everyone to be as happy as I am in my home with my wife and children. There is no problem between Ayeza and I – thank God, we are happy. So please, be happy in your life and keep us in your prayers.”
The controversy started when Taimur, who co-hosts Mehfil-e-Ramadan with Rabia Anam, invited Ayeza Khan as a guest and sat next to her and discussed her right to marry four times.
“If God has permitted something, it is permitted. Just because I am not doing it, it does not change anything,” he said. “I say this to her and now to all of you: I am allowed to marry four times, however, because of her love and respect, I want to spend my life with her right now.”
