Souls of Kashmiris, Palestinians are free, but world remains caged, she said.
Mushaal Calls for Global Action to End Kashmir, Palestine Genocide. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, has once again called upon the international community to take practical steps to put an end to the ongoing genocidal acts, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, and human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine.
Speaking alongside the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan after viewing a photo exhibition depicting atrocities faced by Palestine people, she expressed deep anguish over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Palestine and highlighted the shared struggles of Kashmiris and Palestinians, whose lands remained occupied by aggressors and foreign alien states. She emphasized that the ethnic cleansing, war crimes, and human rights violations in these regions were a stain on the conscience of humanity.
She stated, “Our hearts bleed as we witness the slaughter, destruction, and humiliation of innocent civilians in Palestine, as a slaughterhouse has been opened, and human dignity is being trampled upon.”
Mushaal, who is a wife of unlawfully incarcerated senior Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, stated that Israel and India were the world’s largest land-grabbing entities, implementing settler-colonial tactics both in Palestine and Kashmir.

Drawing parallels to the suffering of Kashmiris under Indian occupation, she described the situation as a “slaughterhouse,” where innocent lives were being extinguished, and human dignity was being trampled, urging the world to move beyond mere condemnations and lip service and to take concrete actions to implement international laws that protect human rights and democratic principles.
The chairperson lamented that despite multiple international laws designed to protect democracy and human rights, these laws remained unenforced for Palestinians and Kashmiris, whose fundamental rights continued to be denied.
The plight of Kashmiris and Palestinians, she noted, represented the oldest and most legally justified causes on the UN agenda, whose people continued to suffer under brutal occupation, subjecting to extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and erasure of their rich cultural heritage, besides enduring daily violence, land grabs, and systemic oppression under occupation forces.

The literacy rate among Palestinians is one of the highest in the Muslim world, yet they are being systematically wiped out,” she stated.
Mushaal condemned the global silence and inaction, particularly in the wake of the post-9/11 world order, which has often equated legitimate freedom struggles with terrorism. She emphasized that the conflicts in Kashmir and Palestine were not religious wars but rather struggles against fascism, oppression, and illegal occupation. She pointed out that even Jewish voices around the world condemned the Zionist policies of Israel, highlighting that this was not a conflict between Muslims and Jews but a fight for justice, human rights, and the principles of freedom.
Detailing her own ordeals, she said: “I have not been able to meet my husband for years. My daughter was just two years old when she last saw her father in Srinagar jail, who faces an unjust death sentence simply for advocating the Kashmiri cause.”
Mushaal urged the international community, including world powers, the UN, and the EU to move beyond issuing statements and reports and to take decisive action to enforce international laws. She warned that if the international community continued to turn a blind eye, the world risked descending into further chaos, potentially leading to a third world war. She called for peace, dialogue, and the preservation of the demographic and cultural identity of these occupied lands, urging that they must not be handed over to alien forces.
Mushaal reminded the world that the people of Kashmir and Palestine were already liberated in spirit, as their souls remain free despite the chains of occupation. However, she expressed fear that the rest of the world is becoming increasingly caged by apathy and silence. She urged global citizens to break free from this indifference, to speak truth to power, and to use their collective voice to pressure world leaders into addressing these legitimate struggles. “The failure to act is not just a loss for the people of Kashmir and Palestine but a moral failure for the entire world. What goes around comes around,” she cautioned.
“The time for action is now. The world must stand united to ensure that the rights of Kashmiris and Palestinians to self-determination and freedom are realized. Only through justice, peace, and the implementation of international law can we hope to build a world where humanity prevails over oppression,” she concluded.
