President MAPIM Writes to Rahul Gandhi, Urging Immediate Release of Yasin Malik
Mushaal Praises MAPIM for Yasin Malik’s Release Advocacy, Condemns India’s Brutality in IIOJK. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, highly praised the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) and its President, Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, for raising their voices for the release of the unlawfully incarcerated Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik and for speaking out against the relentless genocidal acts of the notorious Indian government in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Speaking at a press conference along with President MAPIM Azmi Abdul Hamid here on Saturday, Mushaal stated that Indian occupation authorities converted the scenic valley into a killing field and the world largest open prison cell to silence the dissenting voices there.
Mushaal, a wife of Mohammad Yasin Malik, thanked that President MAPIM for writing letter to Rahul Rajiv Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha India, demanding for the immediate release of Yasin Malik, as India is abusing the judicial system to exterminate Kashmir’s resistance leadership.
The chairperson said that the Indian government was hell-bent to silence the most vociferous voice of Kashmir freedom struggle through kangaroo courts by implicating him in false, concocted and politically motivated cases.
She disclosed that the Indian brutal forces were given a license to kill the Kashmiri people, including the youth, elderly, men, and women, without any fear of accountability. She added that the promotion of security personnel was tied to the bloodshed of innocent and unarmed Kashmiris, aiming to spread fear and chaos so that no one would dare to raise their voice for their birthright of self-determination.
Mushaal made it clear that the fascist Hindutva regime has failed to stifle dissenting voices despite the reign of terror unleashed by the occupation forces over the past seven decades. She added that their oppressive and coercive policies would also fail in the future because the Kashmiri people would not compromise on their birthright, come what may.
The Chairperson lambasted the international community, so-called human rights organizations, and UN bodies for their criminal silence over the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri and Palestinian people. She urged the world to shun duplicity and not side with the killer states, India and Israel, which have turned occupied Kashmir and Gaza into slaughterhouses.
Speaking on the occasion, President MAPIM expressed grave concern on the tragic demise of Mrs Rehana Hussein Mullick Co- Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and mother of Mushaal Hussein Mullick and prayed for the departed soul.
MAPIM President revealed that he wrote a letter to Indian opposition leader and expressed deep concern and strong condemnation over the continued imprisonment and mistreatment of Yasin Malik, which is evident that India is weaponizing its judiciary to eliminate Kashmiri resistance leaders by subjecting them to unfair trials, fabricated charges, and inhumane treatment.
He said that the case of Yasin Malik was a clear example of this systematic abuse of power, adding that his unjust imprisonment, solitary confinement, and denial of a fair trial represent not only a gross violation of human rights but also an attack on the fundamental right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.
He said that India’s judiciary is complicit in political oppression and the Indian government’s actions against Kashmiri leaders reflected a dangerous pattern. The President MAPIM stated that by silencing Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri leaders, India is not seeking justice—it is attempting to eradicate the very leadership that represents the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Azmi Abdul Hamid revealed that he wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi and urged that as an opposition leader, he had a moral and political responsibility to uphold democracy, justice, and human rights in India, demanding immediate and unconditional release of Yasin Malik.
President MAPIM pressed for an independent international investigation into human rights violations against Kashmiri political prisoners and advocate for dialogue and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue instead of state sponsored persecution.
He said that the people of Malaysia and Pakistan stand united in demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, as the ongoing violence has caused immense human suffering, with thousands of innocent lives lost, families displaced, and essential infrastructure destroyed. He emphasized that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, and it is imperative for the international community to act now.
He urged that the so-called Trump-Netanyahu plan is nothing more than an attempt to annex Gaza and strip Palestinians of their land, turning Gaza into a real estate commodity for economic and political exploitation, which is a continuation of Israel’s long-standing strategy to erase Palestinian identity and sovereignty.
President MAPIM asserted that Arab nations must not submit to Trump’s plan, which seeks to impose external control over Gaza and force Palestinians into submission, adding that the future of Palestine cannot be dictated by foreign powers with vested interests in the region. He made it clear that true peace and stability in Kashmir and Palestine can only be achieved through justice, not coercion.
