A Kashmir Solidarity Rally was organized on Airport Road in Kashmir’s capital Muzaffarabad by Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan marks Kashmir Solidarity Day today. Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today with national zeal and zest to express the support of the Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for self-determination under the United Nations resolutions.
In connection with the day, a public holiday is being observed nationwide and solidarity walks are being organized across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The day is marked to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people and to draw the attention of the international community to the Indian atrocities in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A main solidarity rally will be held at Constitution Avenue in the federal capital, which will be attended by federal ministers, parliamentarians, and Kashmiri leaders.
Moreover, seminars, rallies, and exhibitions have been organised at Pakistani embassies and consulates worldwide exposing India’s human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs holds documentaries, poetry recitals, and theatrical performances in collaboration with PNCA and Lok Virsa.
In addition to that, metro stations, major roads, and airports have been ornamented with posters and billboards showcasing the plight of Kashmiri people and support for the Kashmiri cause.
In Muzaffarabad, the Special Session of AJK Legislative Assembly will be held today to express solidarity with the oppressed people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also address the Legislative Assembly during his day-long visit to Kashmir. He will also meet with the leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
In addition to that, Human Chains were formed at Mangla, Kohala, Bararkot, Azad Pattan, and Holar bridges linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

President, PM calls international community
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have urged the international community to put pressure on India to allow the Kashmiri people to freely determine their future for lasting peace in South Asia.
In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, President Zardari said this day reminds the international community of its responsibility towards the oppressed Kashmiri people.
He said the United Nations should honor the promises made to the Kashmiris 78 years ago and support their struggle for their right to self-determination.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, said the right to self-determination is a fundamental principle of international law but the Kashmiri people have not been able to exercise this right even after the passage of the last seventy-eight years.
He said Pakistan will continue to offer its unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support to the Kashmiri people till the realization of their right to self-determination.
