USAID suspends projects Amounting $845 Million in Pakistan. The United States has suspended over $845 million worth of aid projects in Pakistan following President Donald Trump’s directive to halt funding for USAID projects globally.
A total of 39 significant USAID-funded initiatives, spanning sectors like energy, agriculture, education, health, and democracy, have been put on hold.
Local organizations are now struggling to continue operations without the promised financial support. Notable suspended projects include the $86 million Integrated Health Systems Strengthening Program, the $52 million Global Health Supply Chain Program, and the $30.7 million Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program.
