Security forces eliminate five terrorists in Zhob: ISPR. Security forces neutralised five terrorists attempting to infiltrate the country through the Pak-Afghan border within the limits of Zhob district, Balochistan, on Sunday, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR confirmed that during the night of 18 and 19 January, troops detected suspicious movement by a group of militants near the general area of Sambaza.
The group, identified as Khawarij, tried to breach the border but was intercepted and eliminated by vigilant security personnel.
In its press release, the ISPR emphasised the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s forces to secure the nation’s borders and eradicate terrorism. “Our troops remain resolute in their mission to defend the sovereignty of the country,” stated the ISPR.
The statement also reiterated Pakistan’s stance regarding border security, urging the Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective management of their side of the border.
It stressed that Pakistan expected Afghanistan to uphold its commitments and prevent the use of Afghan soil for acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
