Punjab sets new school timings post-winter vacation. Schools across Punjab, Pakistan are set to reopen on January 13 after the winter vacations, with the Special Education Department announcing revised timings to accommodate the ongoing cold wave in the region.
The department confirmed that special education institutions, which were closed since December 20, will resume on Monday. The new schedule sets school timings from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, while schools will close earlier on Friday at 12:00 pm.
To deal with the cold weather, the department has also relaxed uniform requirements for students in special education institutions. From January 13 to February 15, students are allowed to wear warm clothes to stay comfortable in the cold.
In addition, all government and private schools across Punjab will also reopen on January 13 as planned, as the provincial government has not announced an extension of the winter vacations. Classes are expected to resume as scheduled despite the current cold weather.
