Eligible travelers arriving at Kuwait International Airport can apply for a single-entry tourist visa for three months at immigration checkpoints.
Kuwait stops E-Visa for 53 countries: Here’s why. Kuwait has temporarily suspended its electronic visa (e-visa) program for citizens of 53 countries, citing plans to upgrade and expand the system. The change affects travelers who previously relied on the online platform to secure entry into the country before their arrival.
These countries are:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vatican City.
A notice published on Kuwait’s official e-visa portal said the suspension is part of efforts to “develop and enhance” the system. While no specific timeline has been given by the Ministry of Interior, which oversees the e-visa service, the aim is to create a more modern and user-friendly process for international visitors.
To ensure that visitors do not experience any inconvenience during the transition, Kuwaiti authorities have clarified that citizens of the 53 affected countries can still obtain tourist visas upon arrival in Kuwait.
