UAE Consul General denies claims of visa ban on Pakistanis. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Consul General in Karachi, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, has firmly rejected ongoing reports claiming that the UAE is not issuing visas to Pakistani nationals. Speaking at an event in Karachi, Dr. Al Remeithi dismissed the rumors as false, stating, “A lie has been propagated for two years that the UAE was not issuing visas to Pakistanis.” He further clarified, “Anyone who wishes to obtain a visa should visit the UAE visa center.”
The Consul General also reassured Pakistanis of the UAE’s continued support, emphasizing that the UAE government has clear instructions to stand with Pakistan. He highlighted that significant investments are being made, with expectations of a positive development in this area within the next one to two months.
Dr. Al Remeithi’s comments come in response to media reports suggesting that the UAE had imposed restrictions on issuing visas to Pakistani nationals. The Pakistan Embassy had already refuted these claims last week, after reports circulated that a document from the UAE government outlined reasons for a proposed visa ban.
This is not the first time such rumors have been debunked. In August, Dr. Al Remeithi had also addressed similar concerns, urging Pakistani expatriates in the UAE to avoid spreading misleading information about the country or its institutions. He cautioned that sharing or liking controversial content on social media could lead to visa rejections or bans.
With the Consul General’s latest statements, the UAE has once again reassured Pakistanis that there is no ongoing visa ban, calling for continued trust and cooperation between the two nations.
