Entry banned in public places across several Punjab cities. The Punjab government has temporarily banned public entry to parks, zoos, museums, and sports facilities due to the alarming smog crisis, effective until November 17.
This restriction, issued by the Environment Protection Department, applies to major divisions including Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad. The measure aims to protect public health amid worsening air quality conditions.
To combat the smog, the Lahore High Court has also ordered markets to close by 8 pm. Additionally, the government has suspended all school activities, including parent-teacher meetings, school trips, sports, and gatherings, following the closure of schools up to higher secondary levels in key divisions.
