Six Pakistan Army major generals promoted to lieutenant general rank. In a significant reshuffle within the Pakistan Army, six Major Generals have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and assigned new high-profile responsibilities.
The promotions reflect the army’s continued efforts to strengthen its leadership and operational capabilities at various strategic positions. The newly appointed Lieutenant Generals will assume vital roles that are crucial to the overall functioning of the Pakistan Army and the defense apparatus.
Among the promoted officers, Lt Gen Ahsan Gulrez has been appointed as the Corps Commander of Multan (Corps II), one of the most important operational commands in the country. This role will place him at the forefront of overseeing the military’s operational readiness in the region.
Lt Gen Arshad Naseem will take on the role of Surgeon General and Director General of Medical Services (Inter-Services) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi. This position is pivotal in ensuring the health and medical preparedness of the armed forces across the country.
Lt Gen Amir Najam, another key figure, has been named President of the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad. NDU plays a critical role in shaping future leaders of the military through its advanced educational programs.
