Adiala jail prisoners including Imran Khan ‘banned’ from meeting family, lawyers. The Punjab government has imposed a ban on all types of meetings with prisoners in Adiala Jail, where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is imprisoned.
According to the sources, the former prime minister and other inmates in the facility will not be allowed to meet family members and legal representatives till October 18 due to security concerns.
Sources further revealed that the measure aims to ensure security protocols in the twin cities in light of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Islamabad from October 15 to 16.

Previously, Interior Minister of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of trying to sabotage the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and expressed commitment to ensuring that these plans do not succeed.
Earlier in March this year, prison authorities barred meetings inside the Adiala jail — where Khan imprisoned for more than a year now — for two weeks due to security concerns.
