Containers and barricades have been placed at entry points along the motorways, with heavy police and paramilitary deployment ensuring that protestors cannot access key routes into Islamabad.

The motorway police has advised commuters to avoid unnecessary travel on the M1 and M2 motorways to avoid inconvenience due to PTI protest.
