Shiffa Yousafzai took to X to reject the rumours, asking people to stop spreading false information. She wrote that she has not married anyone and called the social media campaign against her a reminder of how vulnerable working women can be in a male-dominated society.
She urged social media platforms to remove the false posts and asked both men and women to stop participating in what she called a “witch hunt.” Shiffa also thanked those who have shown her support during this time.
Her statement highlights the challenges public figures, especially women, often face in dealing with unfounded gossip online.
