ISLAMABAD: The government has earmarked 15,277 billion rupees for the payment of foreign loans and interest, as revealed during a session in the National Assembly detailing significant mandatory expenditures.
Out of a total non-approved mandatory expense budget exceeding 34,555 billion rupees, over 19,050 billion rupees have been allocated for national debt repayment this year. Additionally, 8,736 billion rupees have been set aside for interest payments on national debt.
The breakdown includes 47 billion rupees for grants and miscellaneous expenses, and more than 12 billion rupees allocated for the operations of the National Assembly and Senate.
Further allocations encompass 617 billion rupees for external development loans, over 2 billion rupees for presidential staff allowances, 4.417 billion rupees for the Supreme Court, 1.087 billion rupees for the Islamabad High Court, and 9.063 billion rupees for election-related expenses.

Additionally, the Department of Law and Justice has been allotted 38.82 crore rupees, while over 50 crore rupees have been earmarked for foreign missions.
