Kashmir Leader’s Popularity Unfazed Despite Removal of Posters.
ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of incarcerated Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, has condemned the Indian government led by Narendra Modi for removing posters featuring her husband alongside former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
Mushaal, who chairs the Peace and Culture Organisation, criticized the actions of the RSS and Delhi police, referring to them as “dwarfs” and “goons” respectively. She emphasized that despite attempts to erase his presence, Yasin Malik’s popularity remains unshaken among millions of Kashmiris.
Pointing out the fear of the Indian government towards Yasin Malik’s rising popularity, she highlighted the display of posters by the Congress party in New Delhi as an attempt to garner public support during general elections.
Mushaal underscored the responsibility of all Indian political parties to uphold the promise of a free and fair plebiscite for Kashmiris. She asserted that despite her husband’s incarceration, his spirit would continue to haunt those who suppress Kashmir’s voice for freedom.
