Earlier, Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Islamabad on Monday morning on a three-day official visit to Pakistan.
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir called on President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, who is on a three-day official visit, on Monday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
According to the military’s media wing, the discussion primarily focused on matters of mutual interest, notably regional peace, stability, and border security.
Furthermore, ISPR added that both sides concurred on the necessity to bolster bilateral cooperation while jointly striving for regional stability and economic prosperity.
COAS described the Pak-Iran border as “the border of peace and friendship,” emphasizing the need for improved coordination along the border to prevent terrorists from jeopardizing the longstanding brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries, it added.
President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that by fostering cooperation between the two Armed Forces, Pakistan, and Iran can attain peace and stability for both nations and the region, the statement reads.

Earlier, Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Islamabad on Monday morning on a three-day official visit to Pakistan. On arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, he was warmly received by Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
The Iranian President is accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation, comprising the Foreign Minister and other members of the cabinet, senior officials, and a business delegation.
