Mushaal urges unity for child rights: Calls for Enforced Vision. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has called for united efforts to enforce child rights during the launch ceremony of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC)’s strategic plan for 2023-26 and a policy brief on child trafficking.
The strategic plan, developed in collaboration with key stakeholders, child rights experts, and voices from civil society, aims to shape the future vision of the NCRC. Mullick emphasized the need for foresight and adaptability in the face of rapidly changing socio-economic landscapes and evolving challenges to child rights.
Highlighting the importance of the strategic vision outlined in the NCRC’s plan, Mullick expressed confidence that tangible improvements in child rights enforcement would be witnessed by 2026. She underscored that the strategic vision presented by the NCRC and its Chairperson, Miss Ayesha, was not merely an aspiration but a promise to the future of Pakistan.

Mullick stressed the pivotal role of evidence-based practices, collaborative partnerships, and transformative strategies in establishing a robust foundation for enduring change in the realm of child rights. Commending NCRC for its commendable efforts, she appreciated the comprehensive guide to combat child trafficking, reflecting the Commission’s unwavering commitment to confronting specific challenges related to child rights aggressively.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister called for unity and action from all stakeholders and urged them to turn the vision outlined in the strategic plan into reality. She urged the stakeholders to not only acknowledge the rights of every child but to ensure that those rights were actively enforced. This would ensure that our children would grow in an environment that nurtures their true potential, she added.
