KP & Sindh govt’s announce cut fuel quota for govt employees. KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday announced to reduce 35 percent quota for government employees following hike in petrol. CM’s Secretariat issued later, a 35% cut has been imposed on the use of petrol in government institutions across the province.
The decision will be applicable to government agencies, institutions and organizations, while the letter forwarded to Chief Secretary. The letter stated that the increase in prices of petroleum products would reduce the financial pressure on the treasury. “Overburdening the treasury means overburdening the masses,” KP CM said. While Murad Ali Shah also ordered to cut fuel quota by 40 percent for CM, ministers and other government officials.
Pakistan has been recently facing severe economic crunch with rising fuel prices in the country. Government has been raising the fuel prices on a continuous basis for past several weeks. Recently, there was a raise of Rs. 30 per litre.
