Baloch Unity Committee calls off sit-in in Islamabad. In a press conference held in Islamabad, the leadership of the sit-in, led by the Baloch rights activist Mahrang Baloch, announced the conclusion of their protest against forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
Addressing the media, Mahrang Baloch conveyed that the message of unity against hatred emanating from this sit-in will resonate across Balochistan. He emphasized that the impact of what transpired during the protest in Islamabad would be remembered throughout the province.
Highlighting the significance of the notification issued by the Islamabad Press Club, Mahrang Baloch asserted that the events in Islamabad would be shared with the entire Balochistan through this notification, marking a stain on the press community in the capital.
Expressing regret, Mahrang Baloch declared the end of the sit-in, stating that they would now head back to Balochistan tomorrow. He clarified that their protest was not against the state but rather against the actions taken by the state, emphasizing their demand for the resolution of their issues through state intervention.
