Fatima Bhutto Shares Heartfelt Details of Her Nikah with Graham

Fatima later took to social media to share her own message and photos from the special day.

Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, recently shared heartfelt details and pictures from her nikah ceremony with Graham (Gibran).

The intimate ceremony took place at her family home, 70 Clifton, in Karachi, a place deeply connected to the Bhutto family’s history. Her brother, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Junior, first announced the news by sharing a beautiful picture of the bride and groom. “On behalf of our father, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, and the Bhutto family, I’m very happy to share some joyful news. My sister Fatima and Graham were married in a small nikah ceremony at our home,” he wrote.

Fatima later took to social media to share her own message and photos from the special day. “Yesterday, Graham and I married in a small nikah ceremony in my family home, 70 Clifton,” she wrote, adding a picture of her husband signing the marriage papers.

She revealed that her brother Zulfikar tied the imam zamin on her, the same one that once belonged to their grandmother, Begum Nusrat Bhutto. The nikah was held in Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s library, a place Fatima described as one of her “most beloved places on earth.” Behind them hung old family photographs and an original Pakistan People’s Party flag placed by her grandfather himself.

Sharing her emotions, Fatima said she deeply missed her father, Murtaza Bhutto, but felt his presence throughout the ceremony. She shared a touching picture of her family bringing her to the nikah under a traditional dupatta. “I felt him in my heart and among us, as everyone present loved Papa so much,” she wrote.

Fatima also mentioned that there would be no grand celebrations or lavish functions. “I’m not one for opulent weddings – and especially now, it feels so inappropriate given what so many people are struggling through,” she said.

Her post received love and warm wishes from people across the country, who congratulated her and Graham on beginning this new chapter of their lives with grace and simplicity.
