Jemima Goldsmith Opens Up on Marrying Imran Khan. Jemima Goldsmith recently opened up about her decision to marry Imran Khan, the former cricketer turned politician. The couple tied the knot in May 1995, attracting global attention, but they eventually divorced in 2004.

In a recent interview with The Mail, Jemima reflected on what she was looking for in a partner when she was in her early twenties.

She said that at the time, having a strong sense of moral certainty was very important to her. Looking back, she admitted that she now wishes her marriage had been arranged, connecting her thoughts to her upcoming romantic comedy movie, What’s Love Got to Do with It?, which will be released on February 24.

The 49-year-old filmmaker explained that while her film explores themes of marriage and relationships, she is not planning to marry again anytime soon. She described marriage as a “high investment, low yield” relationship but clarified that she is not against it.

Jemima also shared how deeply connected she feels to Pakistan, calling it a part of her soul and the country of her children. Her experiences in Pakistan inspired the plot of her new movie, which explores modern dating trends alongside traditional arranged marriages, highlighting the balance between love and family expectations.

This insight into her past shows how Jemima values reflection and learning from her life experiences while staying connected to the country and culture that shaped her family.
