He claimed that if this happens, Aishwarya Rai will send me a message of marriage in two to four months.

When the host asked if marriage with a non-Muslim woman is possible, Mufti Abdul Qavi gave an example and said that actress Rakhi Sawant converted to Islam and named her Fatima.

Mufti Abdul Qavi said that in the same way, he will convert Aishwarya Rai to Islam and name her Ayesha Rai.

Following these claims, users on social media have given different reactions, where some people have termed these statements as a joke and baseless, while others have severely criticized them.

Background & Comments

This is not the first time that Mufti Abdul Qavi has claimed to be married to an Indian actress, earlier he had proposed to Rakhi Sawant, which Rakhi had rejected.

Rakhi had responded in a humorous manner, saying that I do not know whether Mufti Qavi has 100 wives or 900, but I alone am equal to one lakh women and Mufti Qavi will not be able to handle me.

Critics say that there is no solid evidence for these claims and such statements are mostly made to gain attention and have no relation to reality.
