According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran arrived at the GHQ where he met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The ISPR said that the importance of further strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations, bilateral cooperation, regional and current security issues in the region were discussed in the meeting.
The Field Marshal reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability and stressed the need for close cooperation with Iran to eliminate terrorism.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Iranian Supreme Council Ali Larijani said that this mutual cooperation is necessary for addressing regional challenges and achieving lasting stability.
Earlier today, the Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan is an important country globally and is destined to secure its rightful place among world nations.
