Pak Army Major Among Two Martyred, 11 Khwarij Killed in Waziristan Operation: ISPR. A Major and a soldier embraced martyrdom, while eleven Khawarij were gunned down by Pakistani security forces during Waziristan Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO), ISPR said Tuesday.
Inter-Services Public Relations said a major counterterrorism operation, Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sararogha area of South Waziristan District, targeting militants affiliated with the India-backed group, Fitna al Khwarij.
The operation was launched after credible intelligence reports regarding presence of militant network in the region. During the intense exchange of fire, eleven terrorists were neutralized, and seven others were injured.
Tragically, two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, aged 37 and a resident of Chakwal District, was leading his troops from the front when he was fatally wounded. He was widely respected for his bravery and had previously played a vital role in numerous successful counterterrorism operations.
Alongside him, Lance Naik Jibran Ullah, 27, from Bannu District, also laid down his life for the nation. A sanitization operation is currently underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.
Military officials reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism, particularly Indian-sponsored elements, from its soil. They emphasized that the sacrifices of brave officers like Major Moiz and Lance Naik Jibran only strengthen the country’s resolve in its fight against militancy.
