COAS stressed that the two-nation theory is not just a historical theory but a living reality that defines Pakistan’s identity and sovereignty.
‘History Cannot be Changed by Propaganda’, Pak Army Chief to India Amid Tensions. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has strongly rejected the Indian media’s propaganda of distorting historical truths, calling the two-nation theory the basis of Pakistan’s creation.
Addressing the passing out parade of cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul on Saturday, the top general said that Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations that differ in religion, customs, ideology and aspirations. “We cannot be considered as one nation. Our way of life, our traditions, our beliefs and our objectives are fundamentally different,” he said.
The army chief stressed that the two-nation theory is not just a historical theory but a living reality that defines Pakistan’s identity and sovereignty. “Indian electronic and social media cannot rewrite history, their baseless propaganda cannot change the fact that Pakistan was created on the basis of a clear ideological difference,” he asserted.
He added that Pakistan’s forefathers made immense sacrifices for the establishment of an independent homeland and these sacrifices will never be forgotten. “We know how to defend our country, our ideology and our history,” General Munir added.
In a direct rebuke of India’s attempts to undermine Pakistan’s ideological roots, the COAS sent a clear message: “No distortion or propaganda can erase the truth of the two-nation theory.”
Amid rising tensions and hostile narratives in the region, the speech is being seen as a powerful affirmation of Pakistan’s ideological stance.
