The self-service kiosks will help citizens apply for renewal of expired identity cards and re-issuance of lost NICs.
No long queues as Nadra unveils self-service Kiosks for ID card renewal. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is planning to expand another facility, which will help people avoid long queues to renew their smart National Identity Card.
This came as NADRA showcased its latest biometric innovations during its maiden appearance at Ideas 2024 in Karachi, Pakistan.
NADRA’s display includes the latest biometrics registration and verification devices including a locally assembled all-in-one handheld biometric tablet, mobile enrolment kits, self-enrolment kiosks and contactless iris cameras.
The self-service kiosks will help citizens apply for renewal of expired identity cards and re-issuance of lost NICs.
NADRA has initially planned to launch the service at mega centres, later to be installed at airports, railway stations and shopping malls.
After the installation of the self-service kiosks, citizens will not need a data entry operator or any staff to take and verify their photos and biometrics, as they will do so themselves using the kiosks.
NADRA Family Registration Certificate fee 2024
Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is an essential document which contains details of complete family members.
The certificate is an important and necessary document for the citizens of Pakistan to ensure that they keep all their details with NADRA to get further documents from the authority.
Citizens can obtain an FRC from the authority in three different categories, including birth, marriage, or adoption.
In the category of birth, the National Database Registration Authority’s certificate will record the details of all family members of a citizen, including parents and siblings.
Another way to get a citizen FRC is through marriage, where the certificate will list the family which includes details of the citizen’s spouse and children.
The third option is Adoption which will show the family details including guardian details of the person being adopted.
It may be mentioned here that those who do not have the 13-digit ID number issued by NADRA, will not be included in the family registration certificate.
Citizens of Pakistan can apply for verification either by visiting the NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website.
Pakistanis going abroad have to go to the respective mission office abroad to obtain a family registration certificate.
NADRA, like its other essential certificates, charges a fixed amount for the issuance of FRC.
The document issuance fee remains at Rs 1,000 in November 2024.
